I am planning to sell or rent my house but i am not sure if i should use a big realtor company like re/max or coldwell banker or just sell it or rent it by owner or use a other realtor service. Also should i rent or sell? Will be taking any suggestions

We currently have our house listed through a real estate company. Our contract expires soon. We have possibly found a buyer for our house but they wont be able to move until october. How do we go about selling it ourselves? Do we hire a lawyer? We would be saving about 10,000 in realtor fees and would like to take a cheaper route to sell atm. Can someone provide a step by step process. about how much would it cost?
how much approximately is a lawyers fee for this?

Hello folks, if I sell my house using one of these websites, I will be ok. but if I sell using a realtor, I gotta pay them 14,500. Do these sell by owner websites actually work? I am in no hurry I can sit for 5 years if I have to, but just want to move to another area. The realtor fee is a killer. Thanks

Hello, i just put up my house for sale on craigslist and so far i have got a buyer. He has looked at the house, liked it and has made me an offer. Now he said he would pay me cash $300,000 cash. Should i be suspicious?
Also what are the steps to selling a house by owner, where can i buy a contract, do i need a lawyer, and also is a home inspection required?
Should i be asking the buyer any specific questions? I do not know what next step i should take if we come to an agreement…
Also i live in NJ.
Any help would really be appreciated.

I have a potential buyer and they say they want to sign the contract. what happens after that in order to get the deal closed? How do i manage their bank into the transaction? what do I tell the title agency?

The house was listed with an agent.
People visited the house with an agent, and made an offer, to which the owners decided not to take.
A few weeks later, the sellers told the potential buyers that they want to sell by owner once the contract ends with the listing agent.
Question: can a buyer who has made an offer, buy the house by owner?? What is the usual legal contracts regarding this? I know it all depends on the contract, but is it usually 30 days or maybe more until a person who made an offer can buy the house by owner?
The buyers made an offer with an agent, but the sellers did not take it.
The sellers don’t like their agent, so they want to wait until the contract ends and sell by owner… to the people who made an offer previously.

Both sellers and buyers do not want to go with an agent this time.

I had my house listed with two separate realtors. The first one did nothing but let the house sit with a yard sign for 8 months. She did not advertise it, do open houses or bring anyone. The second did open houses, advertised on TV and the paper and got traffic through but they were looky loos. I thought price may be the thing and I could only go lower by paying only one realtor(the buyer’s if he has one) and saving on the commission from a listing realtor. My home is now listed with owners.com. How effective is it to sell ones own house?
