Hello, i just put up my house for sale on craigslist and so far i have got a buyer. He has looked at the house, liked it and has made me an offer. Now he said he would pay me cash $300,000 cash. Should i be suspicious?
Also what are the steps to selling a house by owner, where can i buy a contract, do i need a lawyer, and also is a home inspection required?
Should i be asking the buyer any specific questions? I do not know what next step i should take if we come to an agreement…
Also i live in NJ.
Any help would really be appreciated.

I have a potential buyer and they say they want to sign the contract. what happens after that in order to get the deal closed? How do i manage their bank into the transaction? what do I tell the title agency?

I was approached by someone interested in buying a house I own and I’d like to go through with it. I don’t see a need to hire a realtor, but do not know what to do next…

I have seen those “info tubes” but they are selling for $13.60 or something crazy like that. Now I realize that I need to invest in selling my house, but the entire point of selling by owner is to save myself some money.
Does anyone have a good suggestion….other than a ziploc bag?

I am trying to sell my house by owner and pretty much understand the advertising part of selling but am wondering if someone could provide a step by step instruction of what to do once an offer is made. I have downloaded the following forms: counter offer, seller’s disclosure, purchase and sales agreement

At what point do you collect earnest money (who collects this money?) and what forms are necessary to have filled out before going to the Real Estate attorney? Thanks in advance!
